Authorities investigating explosion at Harvard University’s medical campus
Local and federal personnel are studying an early morning explosion that rocked a building on Harvard University s medicinal campus early Saturday morning executives explained A Harvard University police officer who spotted two people running from the Goldenson Building on Longwood Avenue around a m shortly after a fire alarm began sounding noted they tried to stop the subjects before returning to the building to see what set off the alarm according to police That s when the officer disclosed they detected signs indicating an explosion had occurred on the fourth floor An arson band later concluded the fire had been intentionally set Boston police were called to the scene to sweep the building for any additional explosives but didn t find any and the building was deemed safe Police say there were no shared injuries and the extent of the damage inside the building had not been circulated The FBI has joined local police in working to determine what happened This is a growing news story stay with NEWS on-air and online for the latest details
